On October 3rd, 2015 we had the first 'formal" operating session on the new layout. We had 11 members of a guest round robin group come and beta test the layout. Not all the layout was functional but it seemed like they had a grand time and we learned where some of the problems were. They are now being fixed.
On October 10th, 2015 the Handley Center had an open house and a few members come out to run trains around the layout since the Center also wanted to show off the upstairs club.
Work on the layout is progressing. Most of the front facade is now in place although some trimming needs to be done and then it all needs a new coat of paint. The electrical guys are working had to get some new switch panels and swich machings positioned. Also being work hard is the under layout staging yards of Gulf/Denver and Staging 2. A small portion of the layout has received the basic plaster impregnated cloth for scenery foundation.
Some new photos have been added to the gallery.
